Never Leave Home Without

There are a few things I keep on hand to keep my family ready for any adventure. Let these ‘on-the-go mom hacks’ help you in your daily mom life.

Place for Stickers
Stickers will find your child; at the grocery, library, festival, where have you. They will attach to clothing you’ll forget about and oh, the dreaded sticker glue mark. They will affix to your car interior to become one with its surface. They will adhere themselves to your life.

I’ve given in to their presence and largely come out unscathed. I implore you to find a small notepad to keep in the car door, the diaper bag, or the bottom of your purse and make it their special sticker book. Or else face the sticky wrath of randomly stuck stickers. It could even turn fun when looking for them. Some stores like Trader Joe’s have stickers I even enjoy. Looking for simple fruit stickers can be entertaining, too

Scrap Paper
Blank paper opportunities surround us; junk mail with a blank side, completed worksheets, even insides of product packaging. An easy, cheap distraction is a blank page away. Hangman, Tic Tac Toe, Exquisite Corpse, Letter or Math Fact Practice are just some great options. Arrive early for an activity? Waiting for an appointment or restaurant? Good ole paper to the rescue.

Water Bottle
Having a water bottle around has been essential so many times, and with drinking fountains, they are easily filled. Keeping water bottles on the go with us has served us well.
