Meal Planning 101 {For Busy Moms Trying to Simplify Dinnertime}

As moms, we live extremely busy lives. We cook, clean, and do everything in-between. Meal planning and getting food on the table every evening is time-consuming, not to mention exhausting.

When I started working full-time two years ago and had an infant at home, I began taking the easy way out when it comes to meal planning.

Five meals go on the board each week and those are what we have. I shop for the ingredients needed for those meals (if we do not already have them on hand) and the sixth and seventh meals are leftovers and FYS (Feed Yourself). We will often put local on there as well.

My meals are never complex, and as much as I try prepping on the weekends, I’m honestly not that great at it. There are many other things I would rather be doing.

We enjoy these meals and I know they will not take much time preparing after a busy workday.
