Dear Darling Daughter

As I sit here and see my baby girl becoming a beautiful almost-teen, I felt inclined to share with her some things that I have learned along the way. The small things that moms want their daughters to know in hopes it will make life that much sweeter!

Darling Daughter,

Be brave.

No one can belittle you, without you allowing them to.

Don’t be afraid to show others how smart you are; at the same time, don’t brag about it either.

Dream big, just make sure your eyes are open when you do.

Forgiveness isn’t about forgetting. It’s about learning to move on.

Your future is in front of you, but you must be the one to run towards it.

You do not have to like everyone, but no matter what, be kind.

Your true friends love you for you.

Don’t forget to play!

Laughter really can make everything better. Learn to laugh at yourself first and life will be easier.

Look to the women who surround you, they are wise and can teach you many things.

Dance like no one is watching.

Big feelings often lead to bigger reactions. If that happens, say you’re sorry, but make sure you show you’re sorry, too.

Words mean less than actions. Do what you say you will do.

Be on time.

Love with wild abandon.

Be a little grit with a whole lotta grace.

Most of all know that no matter what, I will love you forever and always.

Hi Everyone. I'm Lisa. I am a wife to an amazing husband and mama to Ella (10), Liam (7), Aiden (7) and Adeline (2.) My family and I love exploring the local area, especially since neither my husband or I grew up here. We came for college (GO WRIGHT STATE) and never left! After working as a caseworker for 12 years, I now work full time as an Adoption Recruiter (a new position that I started before I had Adeline.) My spare moments (not that I have many) are spent taking photos, reading, or spending time with my twin mama friends!
