Fall Fun is right around the corner! We have your guide to all things Fall here in this September edition of the Dayton Dozen for Family-Friendly Events around town. (Psst – this is another Baker’s Dozen for you!)
Aullwood Fall Fest offers lots of fun on the farm for children and adults on Saturday & Sunday, September 17 & 18, from 10am to 5pm at Aullwood Farm, 9101 Frederick Pike, Dayton! Visit farm animal friends, take a tractor-pulled wagon ride, and enjoy musical entertainment in the historic Bank Barn. In addition, Fall Fest offers free children’s activities, local craft vendors, demonstrations, and delicious food from local food trucks. Young and old enjoy tasting apple pie baked in Dutch ovens over an open fire, pressing apples into cider, or enjoying homemade chili! Everyone can visit Aullwood’s amazing giant trolls located along our trails! Admission is FREE for children 3 and under, $8 for children 4 to 12, $10.00 for seniors age 65 and over and active duty military members with ID, and $12 for adults 13 to 64. Friends of Aullwood members are free of charge with membership card.
Join us for the extraordinary Trolls at Twilight on Saturday, September 24, 5:30 – 9:30pm at Aullwood Audubon Farm! We will celebrate the one-year anniversary of Aullwood’s exhibit, “The Troll That Hatched an Egg by Thomas Dambo” at this 21 and over event hosted by the Friends of Aullwood board of trustees. All funds raised support Aullwood Audubon’s environmental education programs for local children from a wide variety of school systems. The evening is Fall casual with wonderful food, a delightful ‘troll scavenger hunt’, and amazing dance music from Bluewater Kings Band! Wonderful raffle prizes can be won including an exquisite $5,100 Mikimoto necklace, wine baskets, a champagne balloon ride, and more! Enjoy the magic of September and the farm under the stars while dancing the night away! Tickets are $125 each with $50 of each ticket being tax deductible. Proceeds support Aullwood’s environmental education programs for local children.
