Northstar Classical School
Northstar sees students as whole people, and partners with parents to develop character and build the foundation that will support a lifelong love of learning. With small class sizes, shorter weeks and less testing, they’re focused on the things that matter most: What is true? What is good? What is beautiful? They lead children in discovering those things with time-tested methods and a Biblical worldview.
I love the small class sizes and personal attention each child gets. I love that our children are taught manners and how to socialize and that discipline is present in a loving way. – Megan, parent
If you’re wondering if Northstar could be a good fit for your family, you can find some good questions here.

Dayton Christian School
Dayton Christian Preschool is a pre-kindergarten preparatory school for three to five-year-old children. The program provides six different options to suit a child’s individual needs as well as that of their family. DC preschool is dedicated to academic excellence in an environment that nurtures a child’s social, emotional and spiritual growth. The school – a part of DC’s K-12 campus – gives preschool access to well-established programs such as music, art, chapel, physical education, and Spanish enrichment.
I never knew how much our family needed DC until we arrived and experienced it. Jackie Surant – Mother of Preschooler
The preschool also benefits from DC’s robust technology offerings, state-of-the-art security, and full-time clinic. It’s these features along with our families experiences that led the preschool to be named Best of Dayton in 2018 and a 2019 Finalist.
First School is not your average educational experience. Students are exposed to traditional learning subjects such as Math, Science, Social Studies, Handwriting and Reading as well as American Sign Language, Yoga, Coding for Preschoolers, STEM subjects, Global Art, Japanese Martial Arts (To Shin Do), Drumming and Dance.
In addition, afternoon enrichment programs for 4 and 5 year olds are a great way to expand on creative and problem solving skills. Both morning and afternoon options are available for our Young 5’s classes. Children from other morning Kindergarten programs may be dropped off at First School for afternoon enrichment to craft a full day Kindergarten experience if needed.
My husband and I knew we wanted a place that focused on academics but made it fun and exciting with not a lot of pressure to meet certain standards. First School met all of our expectations and more! – Parent
A Learn With Me program is also offered on Fridays for two year olds and their caregivers to give them an introduction to what school is all about without having to be potty trained.
In addition to the amazing programming at school, many opportunities for family enrichment are offered throughout the school year.

With a three-star rating from Ohio Step Up to Quality, your child will receive an authentic Montessori education in a homey, natural setting.
Montessori education has had a lasting impact on my child, and the most rewarding effect is how he interacts with his own children. What he is, what he has learned, and how he learned will help his whole family. A well-balanced, self-assured, kind and positive human being that can solve problems is the basis of a society. It is the hope for a more peaceful world. – Parent
Part-day preschool is available and they accept funding from Preschool Promise and EdChoice scholarships.
