First School of Dayton

First School has experienced and caring teachers who fill each school day with creativity, excitement, curiosity, and fun! Whether your child is outdoors exploring one of the three playground areas, in the Fun Room completing an obstacle course or playing musical instruments, or in the classroom using their imagination to run a grocery store or build towers, your child will build a foundation of both academic and social skills that will prepare them for a lifetime of learning.
Academic class offerings include: Learn With Me for 2-year-olds and a parent/caregiver, preschool for 2 1/2, 3, and 4-year-olds, Young Fives (kindergarten preparation for those who turn 5 between May and December), and Kindergarten. There are also Afternoon Enrichment classes to extend the learning day for 4-year-olds and above. Extra offerings include nature classes, crafting classes, martial arts, dance classes, soccer skills, Drums Alive™, and summer camps.
It’s very impressive that First School has been in business for more than 50 years and has educated thousands of people in the Dayton area!
“First School is a treasure. The growth and development I’ve seen in my daughter in her first year here has far exceeded all of my expectations. What an incredible place for her to begin her educational journey. The staff care about each child and are definitely trained to give the best education possible to these young minds. So grateful to have this school in our community!” – Becca V., Parent

St. Helen School

The St. Helen Catholic Preschool Program was awarded a 5-star rating in the Step-Up-To-Quality Program and is proud to be a Preschool Promise Partner. Their preschool program accepts children ages three to five years old and offers both part and full time schedules. As a preschool, they believe children must be taught with care and kindness at their own pace. Children must be nurtured in a tender and careful manner. They must be encouraged to discover the world using their own experiences. In addition, St. Helen Preschool celebrates diversity through adding cultural learning in their curriculum. St. Helen will hold an annual Open House at the end of February and welcome new family enrollment in March.
Green-Oak preschool has a great program. I’m not sure how to add the school. It’s in Kettering off woodman. You can call and ask for the preschool director Valerie Baker, she’ll answer all you questions.
