Fall has arrived, and it’s time to spend time celebrating all the events that come along with the season. Please note that due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, many events are now requiring you to pre-register ahead of time! Enjoy the fun that Fall has to offer while being safe and socially distant!

DMC Pro Mom Tip: For this event you will need to sign up in advance! Don’t forget so that you can join in on all the fun
September 26th-October 25th
10am to 4 pm
To help with current COVID-19 guidelines, this event is now a month-long series. Families can complete weekly challenges at the farm! $30 per family includes unlimited visits to the farm, weekly interactive challenges, and even a chance to win a free PRIVATE party at the farm! It’s outdoor fun and learning at its best!
3. Spooky Search @ Kettering Rec Complex
DMC Pro Mom Tip: Don’t forget your flashlight and a bag to put goodies in!
October 10, 2020

Ending the night with a cookie bar and refreshments is sure to bring smiles and laughs. They are encouraging costumes, and an adult must accompany the child. Cost is $11 for Kettering Residents and $16 for non-residents.
4. Little Explorers @ Bellbrook/Sugarcreek Park District Headquarters
DMC Pro Mom Tip: Note that while this is held two dates, the topics are the same for both! Also this event is for Bellbrook/Sugarcreek residents only.
Children 2-5 years of age
Pre-register the Monday before to take your little ones into nature. They will be learning about letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and more! There is no cost for this event, and an adult must attend with their child. Get out of the house and enjoy all that nature can provide!
DMC Mom Pro Tip: Gran and apron for your helpers so they can feel official in the kitchen!
October 6, 2020
Grab your kiddos and bake the night away. Nothing says Fall more than the smell of apple pies baking in the oven. Via Zoom, you will learn how to make an entire pie from scratch, what apples are best for which dishes, and how to make the prefect crust. Register by 9/29 to receive the recipe, grocery, and equipment list!
6. Pumpkin Train @ Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad
DMC Mom Pro Tip: Know that this train can be warm/cold depending on weather. Suggested to dress in layers and plan accordingly
October 17 and October 25, 2020
Order tickets early, so you don’t miss out! The pumpkin train takes passengers on a 45-minute journey. A scarecrow host will assist you and socially-distant requirements will be in place. Balloon pumpkins, Fall sites, and a stop to get a pumpkin pie/cookie will make this railway trip extra fun for all ages.
7. Light the Night Pumpkin Hike @ Ceasar Ford Park
DMC Mom Pro Tip: Registration is highly recommended for this event!
Oct 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st
Due to current guidelines, this event has a new location and will be a blacklight pumpkin hike rather than a glow. Follow trails along Caesar Ford Park and see all of the “glowing” blacklight reflective pumpkins. It’s lots of fun, without the spook!
DMC Mom Pro Tip: Try the sparkling blackberry wine (grownups only of course). You will not be disappointed!
October 10-11, 2020
10am to 3pm
Head out to Hidden Valley Orchard for Fall fun, pumpkin tram rides to the patch, and fun for all ages. The Roadway is stroller- and wheelchair-friendly (added bonus!!!). While there, you can have lunch, take walks along pathways to the waterfall, and enjoy goodies from the market and bakery. The grounds are large, and spacing out is easy to do! They encourage you to bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the orchard and live music on the grounds. They also have a kid play area, kiddie kite flying (bring your own) in the meadow, a covered bridge, and more. Have a dog that doesn’t like to stay home? The grounds are dog-friendly; just make sure they are on a leash and that you clean up after them!
9. Cowvin’s Corny Maze @ Young’s Jersey Dairy
DMC Mom Pro Tip: This maze is always busy, so getting there a bit early can help with wait times!
Open September 21 to October 25, 2020
3.5 acres of corn fields have been turned into a maze that will challenge all ages. They have over one mile of paths with twists, dead ends, and tricky spots! Go with friends, and see who can get out most quickly. Afterward, don’t forget to go visit the goats and grab an ice cream cone before you leave.
