Independence Day {Parades, Family Fun, & Fireworks!}

With everything returning “back to normal” more and more each day, that means many Independence Day celebrations are back, too! Check out this list of family-fun activities we rounded up so you can celebrate the holiday!

City of Fairborn Block Party and Parade

July 3 & 4

Enjoy a block party on July 3 from 2 p.m.-10 p.m. along Main Street in downtown Fairborn. The July 4th parade kicks off at 2 p.m. – get your spot early! Both events are meant for the whole family!

Star Spangled Heights – Huber Heights

July 3, 10 a.m.-10:30 p.m.

Start the day by catching the Star Spangled Heights Parade kicking off at the corner of Brandt Pike and Chambersburg Road. Then head to Thomas A. Cloud Park for music, games, food trucks and more! The day caps off with fireworks at dusk.

Star Spangled Celebration – Butler Twp. and Vandalia

July 3, 7-10 p.m.

Families can enjoy food, music and fun with the fireworks show starting at 10 p.m.!

Lights in Flight – Dayton
July 3, 5-10 p.m.

Come celebrate Independence Day at RiverScape MetroPark with a festival, food, fun, entertainment and fireworks starting at 10 p.m.

Piqua 4th Fest – Piqua

July 4, 2-10 p.m.

Enjoy live entertainment, food and other vendors, and fireworks to end the night!

Troy 4th of July Parade, Concert and Fireworks

July 4, 4-11 p.m.

Come to downtown Troy for a parade, food trucks, concert at Treasure Island park, and the night wouldn’t be complete without fireworks!

Americana Festival – Centerville

July 4, 6 p.m.

Enjoy a FREE concert with terrific music before the fantastic Miami Valley Hospital South fireworks show! Gates open at 6 p.m. with live music beginning at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m. 

July 5, 7:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.

A summer highlight for those in the Miami Valley! Enjoy a parade, food vendors, and a car show. The Up and Running Americana 5K starts bright and early and the day closes out with the Americana Concert!

City of Beavercreek 4th of July Parade & Fireworks

July 4, Parade at 6 p.m. + Fireworks at 10 p.m.

Parade begins at 6 p.m. at Meadow Bridge Drive. After the parade head to Rotary Park for food trucks, live entertainment, and fireworks at 10 p.m.!

City of Kettering – Go 4th!

July 4, 6-11 p.m.

Come to Delco Park for the family fun zone, entertainment, food vendors, and a fireworks show!

Elvis & Wayne Newton Tribute Show with Fireworks – Springboro

July 4, 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate the holiday with the King of Rock & Roll and Mr. Las Vegas! The show takes place at North Park (bring your own seating). Food trucks will be available. The evening caps off with fireworks.

Some communities are celebrating the holiday with a fireworks show only. Here’s where you can see the sky light up:

Buck Creek Boom – Springfield

July 3, 10 p.m.

Go to a high point and look towards Ferncliff at the Banks of Buck Creek to enjoy the fireworks show!

Clinton County Fairgrounds

July 3, Fireworks at dusk

Stay at the campgrounds or come in for the fireworks!

Franklin

July 3, 10 p.m.

While the All-American Blast is on hold for one more year, residents can catch fireworks beginning at 10 p.m. from Community Park. The park will be closed, so make sure to park close by!
