I Love You Just The Way You Are

Every day I learn something new about my kids and I never want to forget how special they each are in their own ways. It’s truly amazing how they can all grow under the same roof but have such different personalities.

way you are

Dear Oldest Child,

You never cease to amaze me with your intelligence and independence. Everyone says you look like your dad but actually, you look just like me. Your emotions are BIG just like mine. You feel deeply and love deeply and I hope you don’t ever feel ashamed of that beautiful trait. You love learning and always ask questions. You are a true leader of the pack, sometimes I worry too much so. Don’t grow up too fast. Your siblings have an amazing role model to look up to. I love you just the way you are.

Dear Middle Child,

You have been the family entertainer since you entered the world. Your feisty spirit is something I know will help you pave your own path in the world. You do things your way and I see so much of your dad in you. I’m pretty positive you’ve given me a majority of my grey hairs because of your accident-prone nature, but you’ve also brought me endless laughter with your quirky smile and mischievous antics. You always want to be on the go, staying home is not your thing. I can always count on you to climb in the bed and snuggle up every morning. I love you just the way you are.

Dear Youngest Child,

You are still young but I already see so much of your personality. You are the sweetest little goofball. You don’t let anyone mess with you and always want to be right in the thick of things. Being alone is not your thing, you thrive with others around. You are the best hugger. I will never tire of the way you throw your whole body onto my chest every morning I lift you out of bed. You love to dance, just like your big brothers – any sort of beat and you start shaking your hips. I love you just the way you are.

Katie
Hi! I’m Katie, boy mama to 3, wife of a picky eater, photographer, business owner, and food lover. My husband and I both grew up in the Dayton area but moved away for college. We quickly found ourselves back in Dayton after having our first baby. I never really thought I’d end up back in Dayton but we soon realized how much we wanted to be close to our families after starting our own! I love exploring local restaurants and shops all around Dayton and you’ll probably see me snapping photos to share on Instagram @eatprettydarling!
