Hand 2 Hand Gym Birthday Party Review

My son just had THE best birthday of his (young) life!

Cooper just turned six and is a non stop ball of energy and fun. The party planning began like it had for years before with an at home party for him and his friends. With the birthday invite list climbing into the teens the possibility of an at home party became impossible. I turned to friends and trusty ol’ google to find recommendations on gyms in our area that host kid’s birthday parties.

The consensus was Hand 2 Hand Gym in Springboro was our best option.

When I called Diane, their owner, was quick to pick up and was incredibly helpful. She answered all my questions and explained how their parties are scheduled.  The activities the kids would enjoy and all the amenities that are included in the party. Our group would be given a two hour window where two Hand 2 Hand Gym staff would lead the kids in a few structured games as well as free play. The kids would enjoy trampolines, swings, slides, ball pits, a movie playing to match our party theme, and then cake and ice-cream before presents. The gym would provide all the paper products and handle the set up, and clean up.

All we had to do was bring the cake!!

Our family had never been to a party at a gym before, so naturally I was nervous about how fifteen kids would be kept from overtaking the entire place in pandemonium. I was incredibly surprised and impressed with Andrea our Hand 2 Hand staff member. She definitely lives up to her name as the “Queen of Birthday Parties” at Hand 2 Hand! Her energy, playfulness, and excitement successfully hid from the kids the structure and control she had during the party. I never once had to once worry about any of the kid’s safety, worry about staying on schedule or even small details like writing down the gifts and whom they were from. Andrea took care of all of it!!

We packed up our leftover cake, presents and our “ready for a nap” boys at the end of the party and headed home. My husband and I smiled at each other on our way home, realizing that for once in our birthday party throwing lives our boys were the exhausted ones!

Having our party at Hand 2 Hand Gym enabled us to be an active part of our son’s day and not miss out because we were taking care of the details. I’m positive that our children, our friends, their children and we will be telling everyone that will listen to us about the amazing party and facilities at Hand 2 Hand Gym.
